Robo Kickstarter 2.0: Custom Care Packs and MEGA CHEAP lots aplenty!

Now we gone n dun it: another Robotic Empire Kickstarter has been launched! Why? Because we're seriously out of room at RoboHQ and need to clear some much-needed space for upcoming releases aplenty.

We've dug through the archives and found some oddball items to offer up, plus we're doing pick-and-choose CD lots for well below cost.

For real, $10 gets you 10 CDs, $20 gets you 25 CDs, $50 gets you 30 titles (including the 8xCD FLOOR set, new 2xCD AIDAN BAKER release and some other jammers). We've got test presses from ISIS, GHASTLY CITY SLEEP and TILTS, discounted damaged goods, an overstock-vinyl-lot, and will probably add some other jibba jab as it surfaces.

Total goal amount: $420

This is more of a space-making endeavor than a money making one, so please check it out as the deals are pretty retardo.

To please kickstarter's guideline-enforcers, we are calling these "Custom Robotic Empire Care Packs" and will draw whatever madness you want on the box, sales receipt and/or anywhere else. This was surprisingly popular during our previous/first Kickstarter for the TILTS LP release (which is nearly sold out now too, we've got about 25 copies left) so we're upping the ante this time and making it standard practice for all orders made via this campaign.

So get weird with it: Wanna see the Terminator hitting a gravitybong: DONE. How about a unicorn battling a dinosaur? DEAL. Or maybe a mystic wizard cooking up some pancakes? Strange, but OKAY. Basically whatever dumb stuff you can conjure up: we'll scrawl it onto or within your package wherever we can.

Yes, this is goofy... but we're trying to keep this space-making operation interesting, for both you and for us. So please hit up our Kickstarter page and help us make this happen! Gotta say too, the success of the TILTS campaign was heavily indebted to people posting it on their various social media outlets and forums... so if you're willing to share this stupidity, we'll gladly throw in some BONUS SCHWAG at the end of the campaign. Just let us know when we send out the "kickstarter survey" thing at the end and we'll juice ya up!

THANKS!

"FLOORTWENTY" almost over, TORCHE tour dates and TILTS + Fox News (?!)

Sup! We're entering the last few days of the "FLOORTWENTY" coupon code's availability as well as the 15% off the TORCHE albums we released. Holla at the Robotic Empire - Online Store if you've been slacking on this, as it all ends in just a couple days and is a great cheap way to get some mega essential heavy tunes!

Related, some footage has surfaced of FLOOR's performance at All Tomorrow's Parties in London this past week, definitely check it out here.

Unable to keep Steve Brooks (and crew) out of the UK, TORCHE will be hitting Jolly Ol' England and the mainland Eurozone for a phat stack of tour dates this Sept:

ISIS and PG.99 represses & shirts, new NADJA shirt + FLOOR discography discount, a bat PEEING in TILTS/TORCHE guitarist's EYE +lotsa new distro items!

This diverse update first sees us with two influential bands' catalog items back in print, with vinyl from ISIS and PG.99 getting the re-press treatment. Although the sonic differences are significant, each group created a lasting legacy that still holds long after their disbanding.

ISIS' landmark albums Oceanic and Panopticon are both back in action on the 2xLP format, each with "reverse board" printing throughout (Oceanic getting the massive "tip-on" style jackets, and Panopticon printed via reverse-board for the very first time). The band requested simple black-vinyl for the entire pressing and after a smattering of variations over the years, this keeps things nice and simple.

PAGENINETYNINE reunited last year for a couple of well received and emotionally cathartic live performances. To celebrate, we issued their long out-of-print collections CD, Singles, on the overdue vinyl format. The entire pressing sold out, so a shorter run of 250 more on black vinyl have just been pressed to fill the remaining silkscreened jackets we had kicking around. In classic makeshift fashion, some copies come with the proper "printed innersleeve" that houses the vinyl, and some copies come with a xerox insert of the same artwork instead. Keeping it DIY to keep it in print!

Related, we also recently re-printed two classic PG.99 t-shirt designs. Most sizes are still available, although before even announcing their availability they started heading right back out our doors.

Again sonically different but equally recommended, in celebration of TORCHE's magnanimous new album Harmonicraft coming out later this month, we've decided to discount the closely-related FLOOR discography 8xCD set, Below & Beyond. Everything this seminal sludge-turned-pop outfit ever recorded is contained within this massive collection, and with the deluxe vinyl edition now sold out, this 8xCD release is the only (physical) way to own the monstrous amount of material these geniuii churned out.

The price is tightnice too, as if you enter the "FLOORTWENTY" coupon code at checkout, the price drop to, ahem, $20. Pretty galldarn good for 8 stacked CDs, a bigass 12"x12" 32(!)-page booklet and a custom gatefold jacket holding it all together. BONUS SCHWAG: coupon-code enterers also get a free FLOOR 8xButton set as well, depicting all the album covers from the discography. If you've slacked on this crucial mega-release thus far, hit that up with the quickness as the discount+hookup only goes through the end of this month.

* FLOOR items in the Robotic Empire - Online Store (including the discography, buttons, lots of t-shirts and a 2xDVD)
* FLOOR on Facebook

FLOOR also has three live gigs on deck in the coming months as well. If you're on the US East Coast, or in England... don't miss em!

We also have a fantastic and enveloping new t-shirt design from our favorite prolific doom-couple, NADJA! The Berlin-via-Canada duo have teamed up with Berlin-via-Sweden tattoo artist HLG for this brilliant new shirt. Simple but stark, black ink printed on grey supersoft "Next Level" brand t-shirts. Need a new favorite shirt? Seek ye no further! This really is nice...

* NADJA (and related) items in the Robotic Empire - Online Store (including shirts, CDs, vinyl, a book and more)
* NADJA on Facebook

Besides that rad new shirt and what we consider essential Robo catalog items re-pressed or discounted, we've also had a healthy amount of bombastic new items and re-stocks enter our world for this update.

On the new item tip, we're talking turkey bout killer vinyl from AMENRA, CLOUD MOUTH, DAITRO, DARK CASTLE, KEN MODE, KIDCRASH, MT. ASLEEP, SED NON SAETIA, TUBERS and more.

AND last but most likely not least, some crazy mainstream news activity has been surrounding TILTS guitarist/vocalist (and TORCHE guitarist) Andrew Elstner's recent run in with a rogue bat. A viral press bonanza has stemmed from a freak accident where a bat PISSED IN ANDREW'S EYE and things snowballed from there. There was a rabies scare, freaked out friends/family and subsequent emergency treatment... all detailed on MSNBC, MTV, BUZZFEED, PITCHFORK and more. This is too absurd not to share (you can't make this kinda stuff up!)... so have at it if you've been under a rock:

Also significant: TILTS' infectious vinyl debut dropped about a month back and has sold swiftly (we've got roughly 50 copies left in house). You can get this unlucky man's gloriously catchy music direct from us:

Big update! New items from TORCHE, BLACK TUSK and even more extreme sales!!

TORCHE is one of the few bands that we've been alongside for the entire ride, from inception up to present activity. We love this band, they are seriously awesome dudes who write seriously catchy, heavy music. It always feels good to post updates in regards to TORCHE and today we're happy to announce their two full-length albums have been newly re-pressed on vinyl.

Meanderthal is the album that took TORCHE from the underground to the semi-aboveground. It was on many best-of lists in 2008 (including the #1 spot in the fantastic Decibel Magazine). As it turned out, this ended up being their final album with 2nd guitarist Juan Montoya* and the end of the first era of the band. We ultimately outdid ourselves (and many others) with the first layout/packaging for this thing, with two die-cut tri-folding LP jackets attached together.... and while we would've loved to keep it in print that way, it just wasn't financially feasible. So in an effort to keep one of our favorite albums in print, a new and somewhat simplified version of Meanderthal has been newly re-pressed.

Now packaged in a standalone gatefold jacket, Montoya and Aaron Turner's original artwork has been mostly kept intact, and overall it still looks pretty damn killer (photo proof). We're glad there was a way to keep this album in print, as it truly is stellar! 2000 more of this have been pressed, with standard black vinyl available along with three "color in color" versions of oranges, silvers and yellows, as well as a red/white/blue tri-blend) . The ones photographed above compliment the layout quite well, and we're happy to announce that this is now available again in the Robotic Empire - Online Store.

+ We also have a small amount of the original/deluxe jacket version, as described above. Last copies available anywhere. +

In addition to Meanderthal finally being available on vinyl again, we're now up to the fifth(!) pressing of the Self-Titled Reissue debut LP. This time around we kept the color vinyl (relatively) simple for a change and went with a Jah-inspired rasta tri-blend! 1000 more copies for this pressing (500 black, 500 rasta jawns), also available now in the Robotic Empire - Online Store.

++ Both Meanderthal and the Self-Titled Reissue LPs are now nicely priced at $11.99 each, about 4 bucks cheaper than before for S/T and $8 cheaper for Meander. ++

All of this recent TORCHE activity is culminating just in time for a massive summer tour (dates below), hot on the heels of guitarist/vocalist Steve Brooks "other" band FLOOR just completing their first proper US tour in eight years! We recently re-pressed the FLOOR Below & Beyond discography 8xCD set for their tour and still have some copies in stock. Seeing as how the band may be (relatively) dormant for a while with TORCHE getting busy again, we've just discounted the 8xCD FLOOR set to $29.99 , which can be found now in the Robotic Empire - Online Store. We also have a slew of classic FLOOR t-shirts available and are now down to the last half dozen (or less) copies of the ultramega 10xLP, 1x7", 8xCD, 32-page-booklet deluxe vinyl edition... Seriously: last chance to dance on that beaut!

As we mentioned above, TORCHE is hitting the road for a substantial US tour, co-headlining alongside BIG BUSINESS (plus HELMS ALEE or THRONES, depending on what part of the country you're in). The "new guy" 2nd guitarist (and longtime Robo-ally) Andrew Elstner** is firmly in the band now and they are officially on fire once again! Wisely witness this commotion IRL:

TORCHE-related footnotes:
* Juan Montoya is now playing in MONSTRO, who recently signed to Vagrant (wtf?) and are going on tour with KYUSS and THE SWORD in September/October. Congrats Juan!
** Andrew Elstner was in the criminally underrated RIDDLE OF STEEL and is simultaneously now in the also criminally underrated TILTS. Check them out ASAP.

In addition to all the TORCHE related news, we have also expanded our already outlandish store-wide sales! For the rest of the month, 99% of the 7" EPs we carry are reduced further to only $1.99 apiece. That now matches our store-wide CD sale of just $1.99 per CD, CD-R, 3"miniCD, etc, etc etc. We got a little crazy there, but are only remaining this insane until the end of the month as we've actually cleared a good amount of much-needed space. Still lots of great items available at dirt cheap prices (including newly discounted CANNABIS CORPSE sweatpants), please check out the Robotic Empire - Online Store for all of our ridiculous discounts.

We've also got a meaty update as far as new items & restocks go! One big score this time around is the original BLACK TUSK demo EP, The Fallen Kingdom, finally pressed to wax by our homies at Hyperrealist. Eight songs, badass Baizley artworkin, raw sludgey goodness as only the dirty South knows how to properly do... and oh yeah, some logo-matched yellow vinyl copies too if you're quick! Chop chop.

In addition to that jammer, we've got new stock from ANNIHILATION TIME (the II LP reissue with limited bonus 7"), CAPSULE's righteous new No Ghost album on ltd color vinyl, CHURCH OF MISERY and EYEHATEGOD essentials from Emetic, the unstoppable FELL VOICES LP from Gilead brethren, horribly difficult to obtain Throne imports (FLESHPRESS, LUDICRA, UNEARTHLY TRANCE), lotsa skramz (DANSE MACABRE, DOLCIM, HER BREATH ON GLASS, etc) for all the screamos out there, KICKING SPIT's awesome debut 12", PYGMY LUSH's unbearably good Old Friends album on import wax (with slightly different artwork), and heaps more killer stuff.

For restocks, we've got ARKTIKA, CANNABIS CORPSE, COMADRE, ELECTRIC WIZARD, GIANTS, MEWITHOUTYOU, SALOME, THOU, TITAN and more! Here's the full list:

Not a bad update after a slight gap there, hopefully something caught your eye and you're keen to hit the Robotic Empire - Online Store.

Last but not least, a quick update on a few current projects: both THOU and PG.99 will see new vinyl on Robotic Empire in early August! We've got a "megaEP" for THOU at the plants now titled The Archer & The Owle, and while we may obviously be biased, it absolutely rules! The PG.99 release is the long-overdue vinyl treatment of their Singles collection, along with a repress of the Document #8 album, both to coincide with their (now sold out) pending reunion at Best Friends Day in Richmond this August. We're hoping to have those for sale sometime in July or August, depending on when things wrap up.

That's it for now, please hit up the Robotic Empire - Online Store if you can! Peace!

Hella FLOOR merch (4 shirts, etc!) + rare import RESTOCKS and rad NEW ITEMS

Its still amazing to us that FLOOR has resurrected and is an active force again, currently on tour blazing eardrums across the USA! This is no small wonder, but still something to behold.

In celebration, we recently re-pressed the 8xCD version of their massive Below & Beyond discography... and this update we're pleased to announce that four(!) t-shirt designs are now available along with a kickass 8x button set.

One downside though is that due to our small HQ, we're a bit overwhelmed with sheer STUFF at the moment... so we've conjured up a "FLOORCOMBO" discount code to knock off $10 if you order the Below & Beyond discography plus a FLOOR t-shirt...AND we'll include a free 8x button set too if you bust the "FLOORCOMBO". Hella FLOOR jawns together for a nice price, just enter the "FLOORCOMBO" coupon code thing when you're checking out in our Online Store. This will run for the next 2 weeks.

That is easily the biggest news in our camp at the moment (following a large update about a month ago), but we've also taken the time to stock some killer new items and restocks to the Robotic Empire - Online Store as well.

The big restock news is finally scoring the long unavailable back catalog stuff from A Date With Elvis, aka the now-defunct Spanish label that issued the vinyl for PIG DESTROYER's Painter of Dead Girls 12", CRESTFALLEN's final 7" and TRANSISTOR TRANSISTOR's Erase All Names And Likeness 2x12". All very hard to get and/or WAY unavailable for ages now, we are likely the only place to stock any of this stuff as it was a major mission to get. Very hyped to have that stuff in stock again after many years, and once its gone... that's really it!

Along with that we've also got restocks from heavyweights such as BARONESS, DOOMRIDERS, MADE OUT OF BABIES, MAJORITY RULE, MASTODON, TWDY and more.

New stuff includes the debut BEE CONTROL 7" (already sold out from Adagio) plus the new CROWSKIN / BLACK FREIGHTER split and GODS & QUEENS "acoustic" tape all imported from our German brothers, plus lots of double LPs this time: new KYLESA 2xLP on color wax, LIGHT BEARER blisstality, ROSETTA's new one finally on vinyl, SALOME's newest(/final?) album, plus more quality NADJA tunes from their ever-expanding arsenal of a discography, a couple awesome Skin Balms (!!) from Zeep (seriously great for all you tattoo'd freex) and more. Chekk it:

FLOOR touring for first time in over eight years

Floridian heavy trio FLOOR are about to embark on their first proper tour in over eight years. Since disbanding, FLOOR's overdue notoriety has slowly grown, due in part from laying the foundation for guitar player/vocalist Steve Brooks' non-stop activity in TORCHE.

Reuniting to celebrate the release of their massive Below & Beyond discography/box set, FLOOR returned for a few key shows over the past year to an overwhelmingly positive response. As a result, the band is now hitting the road for the first time since 2003. In regards to the tour, Brooks had the following to say:

"It's a celebration. Celebrating our 19 years together, apart, back together, apart and back together again! Dropping bombs like it's Floorld War III!"

The (updated) scheduled dates are as follows:

4/9 - Gainesville, FL @ Common Grounds - w/ Hawks
4/10 - Atlanta, GA @ The Earl - w/ Hawks
4/11 - Charlotte, NC @ The Milestone - w/ Hawks
4/12 - Richmond, VA @ Strange Matter - w/ Hawks, Amarok
4/13 - Brooklyn, NY @ Music Hall Of Williamsburg - w/ Hawks
4/14 - Philadelphia, PA @ First Unitarian Church - w/ Hawks
4/15 - Providence, RI @ Club Hell - w/ Doomriders
4/16 - Buffalo, NY @ Soundlab - w/ Doomriders
4/17 - Cleveland, OH @ Grog Shop - w/ Doomriders
4/18 - Chicago, IL @ Beat Kitchen - w/ Doomriders
4/20 - Denver, CO @ Marquis Theater
4/22 - Missoula, MT @ Secret Show
4/23 - Seattle, WA @ Funhouse - w/ Totimoshi

New PYGMY LUSH releases & merch galore, FLOOR repress and LOTS of new items & restocks!!

Its crazy to think we're rounding the bend on TWELVE years of Robo-label activity, but our first release (the PG.99 / REACTOR NO. 7 split 7") dropped in April of 1999. It suffices to say, this label wouldn't even exist if it weren't for the Taylor brothers, their friends, and all the bands they've been a part of over the years. There's something in the water in Sterling, Virginia and we feel genuinely honored to have been a small element of these dudes' musical output over the (many) years.

Now that their current/most active band PYGMY LUSH is thankfully touring again, we decided to help stack out our old friends' merch table with a plethora of goods to peddle. As a result we now have the same items available in our Online Store, although we officially and fully encourage you to pick up stuff direct from the band on tour with DES ARK whenever possible.

The goods we've stocked them with this time include a re-press of their first album, Bitter River, on cassette along with two more tapes: the fantastic split with TURBOSLUT (originally released on LP by Exotic Fever) and a new two-song "cassingle" on Cold World / Guilt, two super mellow cuts that didn't quite fit on their new album Old Friends (released on Lovitt, who's also issuing a 2-song 7" of the cassingle songs). Soul-crushingly good tunes here.

Along with all that, they/we've got stickers, oversized buttons (1.5"), patches galore and a plethora of t-shirts both new and old. We're trying out bundle packs for the first time too, so you can either get the individual tapes separately, all together and we'll throw in a sizable pile of merch (buttons+patch+sticker), or you can just grab a merch bundle on its own. Three new t-shirts were printed too, the "Cold World" image expanded, plus white and black versions of the "Mount Hope" Ashburn House album design. We kinda went bonkers here, but it is a pretty lengthy tour too! If you're not gonna see them, or foolishly spend all your cash on booze or something, check out the Robotic Empire - Online Store to pick up some of this awesome stuff.

Another band we're EXTREMELY happy to announce is hitting the road is FLOOR!! Inspired by their reunion shows last year, the reignited trio is legitimately touring for the first time in like 9 years or so! Intense!!

In order to make sure they've got substantial music to sell (and since we're getting down to the last copies of the deluxe vinyl box set discography), we re-pressed the 8xCD standalone edition of their expansive Below & Beyond discography! Ideally you'll pick this up direct from the band on tour, but if not you can grab it now in the Robotic Empire - Online Store. This mamma jamma includes all 99(!) songs spread across 8 discs and includes the massive 32-page 12"x12" booklet with hella photos, lyrics, back-story....everything. We just re-upped on the awesome Sight & Seen FLOOR 2xDVD too! Czech it out in the Robotic Empire - Online Store if you can't catch them live.

In further "touring band news", MAGRUDERGRIND is playing shows in various parts of the world this year, and they just sent us a stack of their FREE Crusher 10" released by Scion(WTF). Yep, debate it any way ya want... regardless, we're giving away copies of this appropriately monikered EP to folks who order the new "Facemelter" t-shirt we printed up last month. Totally badass 4-color design with all kinda trippy junx going on, this is available now in the Robotic Empire - Online Store. FREE 10" included until we run out of em.... word!

We also have a pretty stacked distro update with over 30 new items and 50+ restocks. New stuff from AKIMBO (latest album finally imported on vinyl, with CD), AMATEUR PARTY (featuring Atom!), HEIRS new one along with other Denovali elaborateness, INTEGRITY and other A389 bludgeoners, PYGMY LUSH GALORE, SINE NOMINE back from the grave with a self released CD, Init stuff and more.

Restocks include the bulk of the remaining Shock Value catalog (ED GEIN, JOSHUA FIT FOR BATTLE, etc), BLACK TUSK and COUGH bangers from Relapse (vinyl for both blew out last time), CELESTE 2xLPs and other awesome imports, FLOOR essentials, DAITRO 10"s, KIDCRASH, MELT BANANA and other killer Init releases, mo' bruisers from A389, two favorite PG99 and PYGMYLUSH shirts re-printed, ROSETTA, PULLING TEETH, TOWERS, ULTRA DOLPHINS and a bunch more! New/old release from BARONESS, discounted FLOOR box sets and a KILLER update overall!

Years ago... before Relapse signed em, before getting to open for METALLICA (!), and before folks outside of the underground even really knew about em, a badass band from Georgia (via Virginia) named BARONESS released two EPs aptly titled First and Second. Both were snatched up by a rabidly growing fanbase, and have remained largely out of print since.

The band's now-classic formative material has finally seen a proper reissue, combined together as one deluxe LP. A bit dirtier, punker and more metal than their current rock-infused catchy weirdness, First & Second is an important document in the lineage of this awesome band, and all 38 minutes of music have been completely re-mixed and re-mastered for a much fuller sound than ever before.

Housed in a beautiful gatefold jacket with guitarist/vocalist John Dyer Baizley's elaborate and intricate artwork (spread through the exterior, interior and printed dustsleeve - larger image here), this foil-stamped beaut is now available for pre-order direct from Robotic Empire!

We're really stoked to have witnessed BARONESS literally go from the basement to the arena in just a few years, and are extremely happy to play a small part in this LP. This release has been a LONG time coming, and while we're not the label who put it out (Hyperrealist did), we are pretty much the main mailorder outlet for this bad mamma jamma aside from Hyperrealist themselves. 2000 copies of this beast have been pressed, with 500 on red vinyl, 500 on swirly olive vinyl and 1000 on black vinyl. All on the pressing plant floor ready to ship, we expect our copies to arrive here any time now. At a $14.99 price, you can pre-order this now direct from us at the Robotic Empire - Online Store.

Somewhat related on several levels is the limited tour pressing of BLACK TUSK's Passage Through Purgatory LP that we scored a few weeks back. Akin to the BARONESS reissue, this 12" was also released by Hyperrealist, has awesome John Baizley artwork, and is primarily available through the Robotic Empire - Online Store. Only us and the band themselves have this available, as its limited to just 350 (signed n' numbered) copies.

The other big addition/alteration to our Online Store this week is the newly discounted FLOOR Below & Beyond Deluxe Vinyl Box Set. To be more specific, during an inventory check we discovered that 13 copies (of less than 50 remaining in total) have some minor damage to the outer box and thus, can't really be sold at full price. We tried to get more boxes to replace these damaged ones, but no extras were left... so for those who were interested in this but dissuaded by the $250 price tag, we've now got a slightly scuffed, slightly cheaper version available.

The damage is very minimal in general, just a slight scrape on the canvas of the outer box (see photo above) on most of these 13 copies. This effects vinyl and CD playability zero, so if you want all the tunes and artwork and everything that comes with the most elaborate project/release we've ever done, now's the chance to nab it at a discounted price. This is also now available in the Robotic Empire - Online Store.

p.s. for those in the Austin region, be sure to check out FLOOR live at the Fun Fun Fun Fest this upcoming weekend (Sun, Nov 7th), as it's their last known/scheduled "reunion" performance... (for now?)

Last but not least is an absolutely KILLER update to the store as far as other new items and restocks go. Almost all bangers this time around, we've got new vinyl from BASTARD NOISE, CASPIAN, CLOUD MOUTH, EXTREME NOISE TERROR, JULIE CHRISTMAS (of BATTLE OF MICE, MADE OUT OF BABIES, etc), SKELETONWITCH and TRIAC... as well as essential restocks from FELL VOICES, KYLESA, PHOBIA, PIZZA and more. Gat dayum!

Debut TIDELAND album now available + MASSIVE update (FLOOR shirts, hella vinyl, etc)

After a long lull in Robotic Empire new-release label activity, its nice to finally be back in the throws of a hectic release schedule. Maybe almost TOO hectic, as hot on the heels of vinyl from FLOOR, YOUNG WIDOWS and CAPSULE, we've got yet another LP for ya!

This time around we're stoked to announce the debut album from Sterling, Virginia's TIDELAND. From the same cauldron of suburban wretchedness that birthed PG.99, SAIL and PIZZA, 3 members of these bands have now converged as TIDELAND with the stellar debut, Asleep In The Graveyard. 11 songs that fall between grunge, shoegazer and punk rock... TIDELAND mesh a smattering of unlikely elements to create some caustic yet downright infectious jams. Catchy yet dirty, Asleep In The Graveyard walks a tightrope between digestible and destructive. Over 35 minutes of horrific visions and druggy nightmares on this impressive debut LP.

Kurt Ballou recorded this beast at Godcity, so you know it sounds damn good. Two of our favorite tracks have been posted here and some more cuts (new & old) can be heard here.

This album is a co-release with Sons of Vesta outta Italy, so if you're in Europe please order it from them. 1000 copies were pressed: 600 on black, 200 on cream and 200 on a matching opaque blue. This release has been a really long time coming (recorded nearly 2 years ago!), but in the end it turned out awesome and we've seriously jammed the hell out of this one. So stoked this is finally out, please check it out in the Robotic Empire - Online Store now!

In geographically related news, we've posted 4 unreleased PYGMY LUSH songs that were recorded live in Richmond back in October. These jams are a bit raw/rough around the edges but should give ya a little something to salivate over while these guys revamp things a bit, and continue to take their sweet time getting back into a studio. It'll be worth the wait for sure, but in the meantime these have been essential songs for us during a big time of transition, and it only felt appropriate to share. You can check those out now at the Robotic Obscurities blog.

Beyond all the Northern Virginia music above, we've also got a generally MASSIVE update for the Robotic Empire - Online Store this week. Having skipped last week's update so we could catch up on orders a bit, we're ready to dive back into the mailorder chaos so please keep em comin!

A whole bunch of new shirts have come in, including all the unsold FLOOR reunion show t-shirts. Some killer designs spanning the ages, and almost all on American Apparel (so they're cozy as hell)... check those out as its unclear if we'll ever be restocking them or not. Also a tour design from EYEHATEGOD, some re-ups from Eat Death, and a couple tiny Youth Medium sized THOU t-shirts... for your kid brother or tiny girlfriend or whatever. Add in a slew of new import and domestic vinyl releases (CIRCLE, GIANTS, JUNIUS, MOSS, ROSETTA, SHITSTORM, etc)... plus some more killer restocks across the board, and we've got a pretty rad update for ya this week. Real stoked on this one, here's the full list:

CAPSULE - Tape + Demo + Tour + More (collections) 12" & THOU - Baton Rouge cassette now available!

Whoa, things are INSANE here. Hot on the heels of the FLOOR - Below & Beyond box set completion + shipment madness and KILLER reunion shows, we've got another round of new releases and general chaos over here. We nabbed 25 more copies of the Below & Beyond 8xCD set from our distributor, but they've already flown outta here. We're getting the remaining unsold band copies in a week or so, and that's probably it. The deluxe vinyl version is still available, and we're also scoring the band's unsold t-shirts in roughly a week too.

Beyond Below & Beyond (oof, sorry), we are psyched to announce yet another Robotic Empire label release from a sick South Florida band. CAPSULE's collections LP, Tape + Demo + Tour + More, is now available after being several years in the making. 15 tracks of totally berzerker complicatedcore, or, everything these ADD maniacs recorded prior to the Blue album we released a couple years ago. The release turned out rad with super bright artwork and a high-gloss finish (ala Blue) too, with some pretty outrageous colored vinyl to top it all off. Pretty sure we ordered 200 of the "snow drift" and "slime mold" colors, and 800 of the "cola" which turned out a rad translucent brown. Actually, they all turned out pretty sweet! This is technically a pre-order since it drops in stores/etc on April 13th (so expect them to arrive around that date), but we've got them in house now and they're good to go! Some tracks from that can be heard here (last 2 tracks) and/or ordered now in our Online Store.

We were supposed to also have the TIDELAND LP and THOU Baton Rouge vinyl for this update as well, but both of those have hit production snags and unfortunately won't be available for a few more weeks at the earliest. Sons of Vesta has their copies of the killer debut TIDELAND album now (we co-released it with them) as does the band themselves, but ours are weirdly MIA for the time being. More on that soon...

In the meantime, we decided to drop a cassette version of the phenomenal THOU - Baton Rouge, You Have Much To Answer For EP since the gatefold jackets for the vinyl version have to be completely reprinted. UGH. The tape turned out cool though with black/white/red covers, a black & white cassette, plus a two-color patch for good measure. Limited to 200, this should hopefully tide you over until the vinyl edition is finally ready for real, hopefully in just a few weeks. Listen to this in its entirety on our myspace and/or the band's website (along with everything they have released). This tape is available now in our Online Store.

Another healthy round of new items & restocks have been added to the Robotic Empire - Online Store as well, with a variety of good jams across the spectrum. Notable is the GET RAD stuff from Hyperrealist along with re-stocks of POLLUTION and RAEIN (both sold out quick last time). Also worth mentioning are the Red Cobalt label items imported from Japan (2 new, 1 restock)... they are expensive but deluxe to the max! Add in some crucial Hydra Head staples, a big pile of stuff we got from Ebullition and some other rando items... and this is a darnright stacked update! Here ya go:

New releases now available (YOUNG WIDOWS, FLOOR) +big Robotic Empire store update, ebay rarities & more!!

Got a pretty serious update for ya this week, with new Robotic Empire label releases and a pretty hefty update to our Online Store as well. Here we go...

First and foremost, nearly a year in the making is the YOUNG WIDOWS Live Radio Performance April 6, 2009 12". Having known these (solid) dudes since the chaotic heyday of their formerer outfit BREATHER RESIST, up through jumping in the van with them last year...witnessing live and then sneaking off with the sole copy of this radio performance, having it professionally mastered and approaching the band about a release... its suffice to say that YOUNG WIDOWS are essentially OLD KIN at this point. It is with great honor and excitement that we present this fantastic snapshot of these lifers in action.

500 copies of this were pressed on 180 GRAM black vinyl, with skull artwork by SKELETON ROYAL (Dan Davis/BAD SECRETS). A preview track from this live album can be found here and you can pick up the LP now in the Robotic Empire - Online Store.

At the opposite end of the format spectrum is the 8xCD set from FLOOR, compiling all of the same music from the massive Below & Beyond deluxe box set... creating a more affordable, stripped-down CD-only version (due to overwhelming demand). We made 700 copies of this 8xCD version, most of them available from stores/bigger sites/distros/etc, as well as from the band themselves at their upcoming reunion shows (starting next week)! We actually only got 50 copies for our Online Store, which are now available here. Copies of the deluxe 10xLP, 1x7", 8xCD Box Set version still remain as well.

On that note: the deluxe vinyl set is finally DONE and now in house! We've currently shipped out about half of the pre-orders so far and are busting ass to get the rest out ASAP. This has been a lot more labor intensive than we anticipated, and we've chosen to really secure the holy hell out of each box set as opposed to just rushing it. Some extra helping hands have been brought in to expedite things, so everyone who's pre-ordered the FLOOR box set should be receiving their copy soon! Anyone who's still interested in this beast and hasn't picked it up yet: now is the time.

Last and possibly least, some additional spring cleaning/moving sale action is under way with a weird string of posters, prints, proofs and other random rarities all up now on ebay. A bunch of John Dyer Baizley (BARONESS) rarities are in there, along with an original TORCHE Meanderthal test print, some Daniel Danger rarities and a bunch of other stuff. These auctions are running for 7 days and everything starts at 99 cents with no reserve: check it out.

Oh yeah, we also got a pile of cool stuff for the Robotic Empire - Online Store too. Mostly new jammers & restocks from staples Magic Bullet and Denovali, but also threw online a handful of old Robotic Archive items found during recent cleanup. Just 1 copy of most of those old Robo items, so if you don't see them available on the site they already sold out.
