HEWHOCORRUPTS release "Midi of Profits" USB bracelet (!) on Robotic Empire +big Online Store updates

In the works for a stupidly long time, its kind of amazing we didn't (completely) spill the beans on this one. Chicago's HEWHOCORRUPTS are no stranger to weird releases; the "corporate grindcore" outfit have formerly issued a credit card sized CD housed in a wallet, a NSFW split calendar, an EP packaged with shredded money, etc... but this one probably takes the cake.


Midi of Profits is what it's called, and a frikkin 1gb USB bracelet is what it is: that's right, we've released a rubber USB bracelet with MIDI songs on it. The files in question are meticulously re-created computerized versions of HEWHOCORRUPTS' classic Master of Profits EP, but now with MIDI guitars, machine drums and vocoded vocals. An insane amount of time was spent making these completely absurd tracks, and we are blown away with how accurately they digitally reflect the originals.

To spice it up even further, the band includes tablature for all the songs, two classic/incredible/related music videos, album art, credits and more on this fully functional 1gb USB-chip-infused rubber bracelet. Fashionable AND functional, per the HEWHOCORRUPTS corporate mantra. You can wear it and share it, but the only place to get this beaut is through the Robotic Empire - Online Store (and the band themselves). We only made 200 of these bad mamma jammas, so grab one now or forever cry yourself to sleep.

Robotic Empire to release NEON BASTARD debut "Meikhaus"

We've teamed up with the Wellington, New Zealand band NEON BASTARD for the release of their debut album, Meikhaus. Comprised of 11 songs in under 22 minutes, Meikhaus is a total blitzkrieg of blasting punk rock, stoner riffs and pure noise.

New GODS & QUEENS "exclusive" EP, ACROSS TUNDRAS, t-shirts and mo' updates!

A condensed but stacked sesh for the Robotic Empire - Online Store this week. ACROSS TUNDRAS' new album on CD that we ended up not releasing but is really worth checking out and the killer new GODS & QUEENS EP. ROBOTIC EMPIRE - Online Store Update - Inter Arma 12" available + lots of great distro additions!

After a much-needed vacation, we're now all caught up with Robotic Empire - Online Store orders and ready to jump back into the thick of it. Just in time too, as a new label-affiliated release is ready to roll along with a HEAP of awesome stuff added to the store... so here ya go:


INTER ARMA is a Richmond metal band we've watched grow over the past few years into a truly formidable force. Tastefully spanning most metal genres (blackened chaos through downtrodden sludge), these young freaks have so much going for them that it's pretty amazing to get to work with them in on the ground floor. I think most people who've witnessed them live expect great things for INTER ARMA, and the Mirror Universe partner label (co-releasing with longtime dawgs Forcefield) have just dropped the incredible Sundown debut LP.

Recorded all analog last year in rural Virginia, INTER ARMA deliver six lengthy songs on their first album (seven on the CD solely released by Forcefield). The vinyl includes a download code of all seven songs, and intricately trippy cover art by RVA native Eliza Childress. Printed in black ink on brown chipboard covers, the INTER ARMA debut album finally does the band a bit of justice, and we're seriously thrilled to have a small part in what is undoubtedly one of Virginia's finer exports in quite some time.

YOUNG WIDOWS re-pressed, TORCHE robbed (!), new T-SHIRTS and more

Damn, the killer updates to the Robotic Empire - Online Store just keep on comin! This week we've got the recent re-press of YOUNG WIDOWS live LP, on 180 GRAM maroon colored vinyl. 500 more of these jammers got pressed up in the 2nd (final?) pressing of this killer window into an awesome live band prime in their element: LIVE! Between spreading around copies to the band and our distributor, we got less than 200 copies of this and its available from us now.


In addition to that, we've gotten in some new & exclusive t-shirt designs direct from the bands TORCHE and TIDELAND. Touring with COHEED AND CAMBRIA, TORCHE recently passed through Seattle and handed off some excess records and shirts to us since their old van died and the new one is smaller. With so much gear, no more trailer and 1 more guitar player meant passing off some extra merch to us. Unfortunately, since then TORCHE was ruthlessly robbed in Chicago with several guitars, amps, passports, laptops and other personal stuff stolen. In other words: a MAJOR bummer on a tour that's already kinda hand-to-mouth since they just borrowed money for a new van. They've booked some last-minute shows on the east coast since they can't get into Canada without their passports... so go see them & buy em a drink or something if ya can! They're pretty gutted after having custom gear and irreplaceable stuff ripped off by jerks, so if you can help them out in any way, they would hugely appreciate it!


In better news though, TIDELAND printed up some wacky shirts recently to have for upcoming touring in support of their debut Asleep In The Graveyard album we dropped a few weeks back. If you haven't checked out TIDELAND yet, we highly recommend them. A killer (and catchy) combination of shoegazer, grunge and punk rock to create some kind of all-new megabeast. Three album tracks (including one new one) have been posted here and several others can be streamed here. THOU - Baton Rouge 12" now available! +hella rare archive finds (ISIS, TORCHE, JESU, etc)

Quite a long time in the making (and many production headaches later), we are incredibly thrilled to announce our first vinyl release with longtime bros THOU. These Louisiana heathens have been cranking out a steady stream of sludge/doom gold since their inception a few years ago, and like fools we passed on releasing their debut album Tyrant, only to continuously regret it ever since.

Now though after years of talk, we finally put our money where our mouths are and deliver the good proper with this beautiful gatefold 12" EP release. It's an "EP" because it's 4 songs total, but it's also over 30 minutes of crushing music, set to the tune of the end of times. A seething ode to their city of inception, Baton Rouge, You Have Much To Answer For contains by far some of THOU's best material released to date. The perfect marriage of sludge, melody, doom, hatred and melancholy... this is powerful stuff, and we're honored to present it to you.

It'd also be a good time to mention the other recent vinyl releases we've just dropped from TIDELAND (Asleep In The Graveyard debut 12"), CAPSULE (Self-Titled collections 12") and FLOOR (Below & Beyond discography deluxe box set), all of which are still available from us. The label hasn't been this active with new releases in a LONG time and it'd help us heaps if you picked something up.

On that same tip, we dug up a bunch of personal archive stash stuff and put it up on the store. Debut TIDELAND album now available + MASSIVE update (FLOOR shirts, hella vinyl, etc)

After a long lull in Robotic Empire new-release label activity, its nice to finally be back in the throws of a hectic release schedule. Maybe almost TOO hectic, as hot on the heels of vinyl from FLOOR, YOUNG WIDOWS and CAPSULE, we've got yet another LP for ya!


This time around we're stoked to announce the debut album from Sterling, Virginia's TIDELAND. From the same cauldron of suburban wretchedness that birthed PG.99, SAIL and PIZZA, 3 members of these bands have now converged as TIDELAND with the stellar debut, Asleep In The Graveyard. 11 songs that fall between grunge, shoegazer and punk rock... TIDELAND mesh a smattering of unlikely elements to create some caustic yet downright infectious jams. Catchy yet dirty, Asleep In The Graveyard walks a tightrope between digestible and destructive. Over 35 minutes of horrific visions and druggy nightmares on this impressive debut LP.

Kurt Ballou recorded this beast at Godcity, so you know it sounds damn good. Two of our favorite tracks have been posted here and some more cuts (new & old) can be heard here.

This album is a co-release with Sons of Vesta outta Italy, so if you're in Europe please order it from them. 1000 copies were pressed: 600 on black, 200 on cream and 200 on a matching opaque blue. This release has been a really long time coming (recorded nearly 2 years ago!), but in the end it turned out awesome and we've seriously jammed the hell out of this one. In geographically related news, we've posted 4 unreleased PYGMY LUSH songs that were recorded live in Richmond back in October. These jams are a bit raw/rough around the edges but should give ya a little something to salivate over while these guys revamp things a bit, and continue to take their sweet time getting back into a studio. It'll be worth the wait for sure, but in the meantime these have been essential songs for us during a big time of transition, and it only felt appropriate to share. CAPSULE - Tape + Demo + Tour + More (collections) 12" & THOU - Baton Rouge cassette now available!

Whoa, things are INSANE here. Hot on the heels of the FLOOR - Below & Beyond box set completion + shipment madness and KILLER reunion shows, we've got another round of new releases and general chaos over here. We nabbed 25 more copies of the Below & Beyond 8xCD set from our distributor, but they've already flown outta here. We're getting the remaining unsold band copies in a week or so, and that's probably it. The deluxe vinyl version is still available, and we're also scoring the band's unsold t-shirts in roughly a week too.


Beyond Below & Beyond (oof, sorry), we are psyched to announce yet another Robotic Empire label release from a sick South Florida band. CAPSULE's collections LP, Tape + Demo + Tour + More, is now available after being several years in the making. 15 tracks of totally berzerker complicatedcore, or, everything these ADD maniacs recorded prior to the Blue album we released a couple years ago. The release turned out rad with super bright artwork and a high-gloss finish (ala Blue) too, with some pretty outrageous colored vinyl to top it all off. Pretty sure we ordered 200 of the "snow drift" and "slime mold" colors, and 800 of the "cola" which turned out a rad translucent brown. Actually, they all turned out pretty sweet! This is technically a pre-order since it drops in stores/etc on April 13th (so expect them to arrive around that date), but we've got them in house now and they're good to go! Some tracks from that can be heard here (last 2 tracks) and/or ordered now in our Online Store.

We were supposed to also have the TIDELAND LP and THOU Baton Rouge vinyl for this update as well, but both of those have hit production snags and unfortunately won't be available for a few more weeks at the earliest. Sons of Vesta has their copies of the killer debut TIDELAND album now (we co-released it with them) as does the band themselves, but ours are weirdly MIA for the time being. More on that soon...


In the meantime, we decided to drop a cassette version of the phenomenal THOU - Baton Rouge, You Have Much To Answer For EP since the gatefold jackets for the vinyl version have to be completely reprinted. UGH. The tape turned out cool though with black/white/red covers, a black & white cassette, plus a two-color patch for good measure. Limited to 200, this should hopefully tide you over until the vinyl edition is finally ready for real, hopefully in just a few weeks. Listen to this in its entirety on our myspace and/or the band's website (along with everything they have released). This tape is available now in our Online Store.

Another healthy round of new items & restocks have been added to the Robotic Empire - Online Store as well, with a variety of good jams across the spectrum. Notable is the GET RAD stuff from Hyperrealist along with re-stocks of POLLUTION and RAEIN (both sold out quick last time). Also worth mentioning are the Red Cobalt label items imported from Japan (2 new, 1 restock)... they are expensive but deluxe to the max!
