LOTS of cool stuff going on with Robotic Empire as far as new releases for the label go (mentioned a little further on in the update), as well as some MASSIVE updates to our ever-active Online Store.
The craziest thing we've cooked up presently are new VINYL BUNDLE LOTS. Sort of akin to the (now sold out) multi-CD lots we amassed a few years back, we've recently combined piles of appropriate vinyl items together into killer packages based on genre(s). This is a great inexpensive way to stack out yourself (or a kindred spirit) with a large amount of quality vinyl on the cheap! See the full list of these new lots directly below the distro update.

New import vinyl from AMEN RA (who recently signed to Neurot), the brutal new CANNABIS CORPSE banger on wax, COMADRE import tapes, EAST OF THE WALL and KAYO DOT from Antithetic, nu-screamos LA DISPUTE and TOUCHE AMORE from No Sleep, the unreasonably good debut recordings from POST TEENS on cassette, the phenomenal new TORCHE / PART CHIMP split on color (completely sold out elsewhere?), burly WHITEHORSE on import vinyl and probably the most noteworthy addition to our store: THE ENTIRE A389 LABEL CATALOG. This label has absolutely killed it the past few years, and we're pumped to now stock everything they currently have available. We've also added a couple of PG.99 overrun "prints" from the recent LP re-presses we did. A $1 way to add a little artwork to your wall.

Seriously, at 40 bucks a pop... you're talking a LOT of music to jam on, or to give to likeminded freaks (friends), to get as gifts for the pending holidays (ugh) or to simply take a chance on oldschool style. A minimum of 4 records and 3 CDs per bundle, we've gotten kinda crazy with this one!

Last but not least, we're happy to announce some upcoming label activity with 2 new releases this January. The first is a 2xCD from AIDAN BAKER (who's also half of the prolific doom duo NADJA). This double disc titled The Spectrum of Distraction is easily one of the strangest releases we've ever done musically, with 96 (!) tracks intentionally assembled to be played at random, creating a unique listening experience each time. It was a *bit* too massive to undertake on vinyl (the bonus digital download included is SIX additional hours of material), so we're dropping that one on 2xCD and digitally on January 17th. Preview clips will be announced shortly.
The second release is from longtime friends ANCIENT SKY, who have slowly been assembling an arsenal of ruthlessly good psychedelic bangers. Their new album T.R.I.P.S. will be self-released on vinyl via their in-house label, Loud Baby Sounds (also home of their "sister" band, LITTLE GOLD, with whom they share 3/4 members). T.R.I.P.S. is accurately titled, but thankfully does not fall down the meandering pitfalls some modern psych bands can fall themselves in, and in fact the album is downright catchy at times! It's a high-calibre album, up there with the finer outputs of DEAD MEADOW, THE BLACK HEART PROCESSION and OM. The whole thing was also self-recorded to 2" tape and really sounds great. We'll be handling both cassette and digital-download formats of this thing, with brethren Sons of Vesta releasing the vinyl in Europe.
This should also be available mid-January and we suggest you promptly familiarize yourself with this beaut ASAP via ANCIENT SKY's bandcamp page. Their back-catalog can be found there as well, and is well worth exploring.
Not a bad little update ay? We've actually got another new release (hopefully) in the immediate pipeline that we plan to announce in just a week or so.... more info on that once its all actually ready.
